Travel in classic style!

Saturday 27th April – Departure 1pm

Enjoy a nostalgic trip in a vintage double decker (courtesy of Eddie Taylor, District Vice President) across the new Queensferry Crossing that opened only in 2017. The tour will continue to Dunfermline and take in a short visit to the  recently opened Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries. The trip will return via the Forth Road Bridge that was opened in 1964 and is now reserved only for buses and taxis. This bridge affords wonderful views of the Forth Rail Bridge, a masterpiece of Victorian engineering. Arrival back at the Marriott around 4.30pm. Sharron McColl will act as both conductor and guide on the afternoon trip. Mike Chapman, co-owner will be your driver.

Bristol Lodekka chassis with Eastern Coach Works body built in 1964. Operated with Alexanders Fife then for a short while with Stagecoach passing to the current owners in 1989 and restored to its original livery. Currently stored at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum near Dunfermline.
